General Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a natural form of health care that uses spinal adjustments to correct any misalignments and restore proper function to the nervous system, helping your body to heal naturally. It helps restore and maintain your health and wellness by working to remove the cause of your problem.Improper function of the spine due to slight misalignments – called subluxations – can cause poor health or function, even in areas far removed from the spine and spinal cord itself. Chiropractic adjustments help to mobilize segments in the spine that are subluxated, or not moving as freely, as the segments around them. It keeps your spine moving and prevents degeneration and pain.

Prenatal Chiropractic

Chiropractic care is essential for the pregnant mother. Proper nervous system and spinal function is crucial to the development of your baby and essential to the well-being and comfort of mom.  The mother’s spine and pelvis undergoes many changes and adaptations to compensate for the growing baby and the risk of interference to her nervous system is increased. Chiropractic care enhances nervous system function which provides greater health potential for both the mother and baby.

Pediatric Chiropractic

There has been a large growth in the number of parents actively seeking chiropractic care for their children. Chiropractic care goes beyond the aches and pains we sometimes experience. It’s about nerve function and how the nervous system controls all aspects of your body. Chiropractic care looks to the spine and nervous system to correct subluxations and restore proper nerve function. Irritation to the nerve system caused by spinal misalignment can be the cause of many newborn health complaints. Colic, breathing problems, nursing difficulties, sleep disturbances, allergic reactions and chronic infections can often be traced to nerve system stress. In order to ensure proper growth and development for your child, chiropractic care is beneficial for reducing three specific forms of “stress” impacting your child on a daily basis:

Physical stress (Traumas) – Physical stress on the child’s body and nervous system not only include the birthing processes listed above, but also include “traumas” such as falls, which occur when children learn to walk, injuries that occur while playing sports, etc.

Chemical stress (Toxins) – Chemical stress is evident everywhere in today’s current environment. These stressors can negatively impact your child’s nervous system by bombarding it with toxic substances. Such chemicals can be found in processed foods, household cleaning agents, prescription medications, plastics, etc.

Emotional stress (Thoughts) – Emotional stress, such as anxiety and depression, can also occur in children due to imbalanced hormone regulation. Children typically express emotional stress via physical outlets (stomach aches, headaches, diarrhea, behavioral outbursts, etc.). We need to recognize these expressions for what they are and address the root cause of the presenting symptoms.
